Hello to all,
It has been quite a while sense my last report, I think it is time to speak out!
I am sure by now everyone knows about my accident on Feb 25, 2008.
What a lot of you do not know is the results of my accident! That was the day my life changed forever nothing is the same anymore. I now have a partial titanium neck. Also due to the head injury I lost most of memories for about 8 months.
I now happy to say I got a lot of my memories back, but some things are gone forever. I still have no memory of the accident when truck hit the rear of my Van. I have very little memory of my childhood. For some reason when I try to remember things or think about solving problems in life. I hear what I call the Bar from Hell! It sounds like a very noisy Bar in my head with people screaming & shouting real loud 24yrs a day. No it is not ringing in my ears, It is much worse. The doctors have tested my hearing several times. They tell me what I hear is my own Brain trying to correct it self & repair the damage. Well the bad news is the noise is getting louder, but I get more & more memory & abilities back. So I guest the doctors are right!
Now you probably want to know why I told you all of this!
I just wanted everyone to know why I have not been as active in ABATE as I used to be.
Everyday I have to listen to the Bar from Hell, Even when I ride my Scoot.
Some of you have seen my headset I wear when I am riding & at State meetings.
That is how I cope with listening to the Bar from hell! The doctors had recommended
some very strong drugs that would have slowed down my brain functions.
I told them No way I did not want to take there drugs. The Headset helps me concentrate
as I listen to special mellow healing music. I started riding again in December 2008. I am getting
stronger each week but the noise is always there. That day I was going home to feed my fish
changed my life forever. I did not ask for any of this, I have spent almost 2 years talking to attorneys & insurance companies trying to end this nightmare & pay all my medical bills.
Once again I want thank all of you for your support in my time of need!
