Treasurer:
Bruce Ramsey read the Treasurer’s Report. Beginning balance was $6,767.95, ending balance $6,171.15. Motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read. M/S/P
Membership:
Bruce Ramsey read the Membership report. Current members are 122, New members are 1, 3 Month Grace are 5 for a total of 128 members.
Adopt-A-Highway:
Our next Garbage Pick up has changed from October 4trh to November 15th.
Ambassador:
Lesta Campbell visited the South King County meeting for elections.
In the Wind:

Tri-Chapter Halloween Party – For the flyer contest, the Right Spot bartender chose the winning flyer and East Pierce County Chapter won. The fliers are made and they look great! Party will be held November 1st at the Nifty Fifty Pub and Grill on Canyon Road in Puyallup starting at 8 pm. There will be a costume contest, raffles and a 50/50. We are in need of more decorations, if you have any you would like to let us use for that night, please bring them in or contact Lyle Coyle. There will be live Music by Eureka; the band wants a $150 deposit. Motion was made that Tacoma Chapter will pay the band’s deposit and South King County and EPCC will pick up the Door Prizes. M/S/P
August 16th Memorial Run – We had a great turnout and great weather for the ride. The ride started at Alfred’s in downtown Tacoma and ended at the Right Spot in Fife.
Valentine’s Day/Anniversary Party – Will be held downstairs at the VFW, we may have one band lined up and the T-shirts are being made. More to come.
Swap Meet – We had a great turnout, the new location seems to have worked out well. All of the vendor spots were filled and we had over 1,000 paying customers come through the gate.
Elections – Nominations were made at the July meeting. Jay Frazier asked if there were any other nominations. A motion was made to close nominations for the Offices of Coordinator, Deputy Coordinator, Treasurer and Secretary. M/S/P
New Officers for this year:
Board of Directors: Columbia Gorge became a new Chapter in July. BOD asked that all 2009 Runs be turned in by September. Black Thursday date changed from Jan 17th to January 22nd.
Tacoma Chapter Runs for 2009:
Tacoma Toy Run – We are in need of a new Santa; the Abate member who previously was our Santa is no longer able to participate. Lyle Coyle is still working on getting a Police escort for the run. More to come.
“The Barry Miller Memorial Fund Poker Run” Donnie Landsman, Don Cuda, both of East Pierce County Chapter, and Rick Ward, of South King County, invited everyone to participate in a Memorial Fund Poker Run for EPCC member, Barry Miller. Barry passed away September 2, 2008. This ride is on October 11, rain or shine. It will start at the Riverside Tavern in Sumner with last bike out at 11am. All proceeds excluding the 50/50 will go to the Miller Family to purchase the “Barry and Nick Miller Memorial Bench.”
Points of contact for this run:
A motion was made to donate the “Pass the Hat” dollars from the meeting, to the memorial fund. An amendment was made that Tacoma Chapter donate a total of $50 including the $37 from the “Pass the Hat.” M/S/P
Tracy Roe mentioned that Harleys are needed, on September 26th, for the Yelm High School Homecoming to give rides to the Homecoming Court around the track during half time. Anyone interested in helping please contact Tracy at 360-458-2836.
