Riding With You, Fighting For You
By Patrick DiBenedetto, Lead Attorney – Metier Motorcycle Lawyers
To the members of ABATE of Washington—
My name is Patrick DiBenedetto, and I want to introduce myself not just as an attorney, but as a rider.
Riding has long been a part of my life, not just as a means of transportation, but as a community, a lifestyle, and a mindset. It’s a connection to the road, to the people you meet along the way, and to a culture built on freedom, respect, and responsibility.
Today, I serve as Lead Attorney at Metier Motorcycle Lawyers, where I’ve dedicated my legal career to protecting riders and their families. Over the past two decades, I’ve stood beside motorcyclists in some of the hardest moments of their lives, after serious injuries, devastating crashes, and insurance companies that just don’t get it. And I’m proud to be part of a firm with over 40 years of experience helping injured riders get justice, recover fully, and rebuild their lives.
If you’re part of ABATE, I don’t need to tell you how much work it takes to fight for riders’ rights. You’re out there on the front lines, lobbying lawmakers, raising awareness, and keeping the rider community strong. At Metier Motorcycle Lawyers, we stand with you in that fight. We don’t just represent motorcyclists - we ride and we show up.
In fact, for years my team and I have been the backing force behind motorcycle events both large and small throughout the region, and we look forward to continuing that tradition. Whether it’s sponsoring bike nights, supporting local charity runs, or partnering with rider-focused safety initiatives, we believe in giving back to the community that we’re proud to be part of.
And if the name Metier Motorcycle Lawyers sounds familiar, it’s probably because you've already met some of our team. You might have seen Derek Roberts, our Marketing Director, at an event (he’s known for being everywhere at once and talking to everyone). Chris Elizaga, our Washington Marketing Manager, has been putting in serious miles across the state, working with local clubs and building trusted relationships. And down south in Oregon, Todd Quinn, our Marketing Manager, keeps the throttle open, helping us connect with the passionate riding community there.
Together, we’ve worked hard to become more than just another law firm. We aim to be a trusted ally for motorcyclists -on and off the road.
Why? Because when a crash happens, riders face more than just injuries. We face assumptions. We face bias. We face insurance companies that are quick to blame and slow to pay. I’ve seen it too many times: a rider doing everything right gets hit by a careless driver, and suddenly they’re fighting uphill just to get basic compensation for their injuries.
That’s why our team at Metier takes a different approach. We don’t rely on police reports alone. We collaborate with medical experts, engineers, and industry specialists to ensure no detail is overlooked. And when needed, we take the case all the way to trial, fully prepared to fight for every dollar and every ounce of justice.
We’ve recovered millions in verdicts and settlements for injured riders and their families. But more importantly, we’ve helped our clients move forward - with dignity, support, and strength.
If you’ve never had to call a motorcycle attorney, that’s a good thing. But if you ever need us, know that we’ll be there. We’ll treat you with respect. We’ll fight for you like family. Because for us, this isn’t just business, it’s personal.
So whether you see us at a rally, a fundraiser, or out riding the roads of the Pacific Northwest, I hope you’ll say hello. Let’s talk bikes. Let’s talk about how we can support each other and let’s keep the riding community strong.
At Metier Motorcycle Lawyers, we’re proud to ride with you, and we’re honored to fight for you.
If you or someone you know has been injured in a motorcycle crash, reach out to us anytime at 833-4MOTO-LAW (833-466-8652) or visit www.metierlaw.com to schedule a free consultation.
Stay safe. Stay strong. And keep riding.
Respectfully,
Patrick DiBenedetto
